Rowell Camerata
Bringing harmony to the world.
Founded in 2019, Rowell Camerata is committed to inspiring and engaging audiences with some of the finest choral music.
The choir comprises a mixture of experienced singers and, perhaps, those who have returned to singing after a break.
We rehearse in the beautiful and acoustically fine church of Holy Trinity, Rothwell. Rehearsals are generally on Saturday mornings between 10:00 and 1:00 on a 3-weekly schedule.

Why "Rowell" and not Rothwell? Rowell is the the local pronunciation of Rothwell in Northamptonshire. A translation, of the town’s name, is based on it being the Danish settlement of “Rodewell” or “place of the red well”, presumably so called because of the area’s many freshwater springs coloured red by iron minerals.
